A boy or a girl? My feelings are this baby is a boy. Several people have also told me they get the feeling it is a boy. Can "a feeling" really be accurate. Not too long ago I had a dream, and the baby was a boy. Is is just burned into my brain since I have always thought that I would have a boy first?
I am still on the fence about finding out the sex of the baby. What an amazing surprise at birth. But, on the other hand you can customize everything when you find out the sex. Right now I am saying that I DO NOT want to find out. You probably all think I am crazy for wanting it that way, but there is still a lot of time left.As time goes on the anxiety may get to me and I will have to find out.
Time will tell.

Week 8
Um... lets see week 8.
Still nauseated off and on, but nothing too horrible.I feel really good today....which makes me nervous. I am still 2 weeks away from my first appointment, and I just wish that it would get here. The nausea is reassuring to me, but when I have mornings like this one where I feel pretty good I get nervous. I have no vomiting, but a few times I found myself almost vomiting and the strangest times. Like this morning. I pulled my car out of the garage , let the dog walk around the yard for a few minutes, and on my way up the driveway to let Millie in the house it hit. A nice couch and some dry vomiting. I hope my neighbor Bonnie was not watching. It sometimes happens when I brush my teeth too.
So gross.
Still Tired. I become more tired as the work week passes. By friday I am usually pretty tired.
In the last 8 weeks I have only gained 1 lb. I would be happy with a 1 lb weight gain every month, but I know that probably not possible, since they say to gain 25-30. So, it looks like I lost 12 lbs to but it right back on. It is always more fun to put the weight on anyways right?
I am a little weary on buying things just yet. I have been looking at some things here and there, but I am afraid to buy them just yet. I feel like I would be jinxing myself. Then, I would have this stuff and have no use for it. I am a constant worry wart, so I am really looking forward to my Dr. Appt

Week 7 = Nasuea
Nausea. Everyday!
Nausea has been on and off for me. Sometimes i wake up with it, other times it comes out of nowhere in the middle of the day, and if I am lucky it starts in the morning, and stays with me all day. Sometime ago I read that nausea is a sign that the placenta is developing well. So, at least I know things are going well in the mist of all my complaining of not feeling well.
Some minor hot flashes have occurred. I may get them a few times a day. Steve is loving that I am not cold all the time now. Last year at work I would have my heater under my desk going all the time, and was wearing a sweater. So far..no fan and no sweater. My office is sitting at 72.0 degrees, and I am as comfortable as ever.
I am not feeling as tired as I have in the past week. Could be that I had a nice relaxing weekend and could set as much rest as I needed, or it could be I have become used to be tired, so I do not notice it as much as I did on the beginning.
Other than that, I am doing well. My pants are still fitting, although they are not fitting as well as they did a week ago. Also, my tops are becoming snug . Everyday is a challenge to get ready in the morning. Things are not fitting as comfortable as they once did and I am having a hard time with that. When this would happen to me in the past I would go to the gym. I really wanted to wait on buying maternity clothes, so I will be making my clothes fit for the next little while.
I have continued going to the gym 3-5 days a week, and with all my efforts I have gained 1 lb. I could live with gaining 1 lb a month, but I do not think will be feasible.

The news is out
Last night we went out to dinner with the family to celebrate my birthday. What a perfect time to announce the we are pregnant. The family was interested in seeing our pictures from our Las Vegas trip, so I scanned the ultrasound, printed a copy and placed it in the middle of all the pictures. I give Steve all the credit for capturing the picture of my mom when she got to the ultrasound picture.
Priceless!

Week 6
It has hit me. Waves of nausea. Wednesday (7/16/08) it hit me first thing in the morning, but today Friday( 7/19/08) I have been carrying it with me all day. Plus mild headaches.
I consider myself to have a pretty strong stomach, but late this morning I needed a snack to kind of tone down the nausea. I had a peach yogurt, and granola. My granola has raisin in it, which has never bothered me in the past.Well, that was not the case today.I was putting my granola in my yogurt and a raisin got in. I had gag reflex right there, so they had to go. I love raisens, but I think it is going to be a while before I can eat one again.

Watch me grow
I am going to try my best and take a picture of my growing self every week. So far so good, but I have a lot of weeks ahead of me. My goal is to maintain this pregnancy log through the entire duratation. I hope to make it into a book when finished. It would make a nice addition to my growing book collection.

Week 4
I am pregnant. When I saw the test was positive, I wanted to jump up and down, I wanted to cry, and I wanted to scream.
For days and days I waited for my period to start, getting more nervous as the days went by. Everyday I said to myself " It will start tonight or in the morning. It always does". But, after being 3 days late. I knew.
When I think about it I get excited, scared, nervous, happy. Every emotion.
There is a lot of time left on front of me. I hope to experiance everything, and have a happy healthy pregnancy.
