I would say for the last 3 months I have stayed far away from my scale, and when I am weighed at the doctors I look the other direction. I do not feel like I have gained a lot, and I do not think I look like I have gained much either, such as in my face and legs. When eating I try to eat well, but on occasion I do splurge. For some reason this morning I thought it to be a good idea so get on the forbidden scale. Once I got on I started to rethink my actions. Then....I looked down and did the calculations. 14 lbs I have put on since this journey started back in June. 14 Glorious Roley Polly pounds. I know that this trend is only going to continue, but with the holidays here I hope that I can control myself a little better than I have been doing. Not only am I afraid of the weight gain itself, I am terrified about the weight I will have to lose once the baby is here. I want to be that person that gained 15 lbs during the pregnancy, but looses 20 when the baby is born. Shannon has challenged me to run a 5k with her in 2010 and I fully intend to take her up on this, and I am sure she will not me get away with not doing the 5k at all.
So here is to my 14 lbs and let hope I can stay under an additional 10lbs in the coming months.

Hey I didn't get to vote on a name but just so you know, I would have chosen Charlotte. So cute. I considered that name when I was pregnant with Noah...before I knew he was boy.
Only 14 Pounds? Girl that is awesome. I think I gained 14 pounds in my first week. LOL. Keep it up and you will have no problem losing it after the baby comes. Me on the other hand will have a few more pounds to battle. Oh well, got to enjoy this time while you can. Good luck with everything.
14 lbs is GREAT Kerri!! What the heck are you complaining about??
I gained 60 lbs and a year later I can finally barely fit into my size 9/10 jeans. But it is all worth it in the end.
I think Shannon has challenged me to run a 5k with her too. But I like being chubby ;)
As far as the weight loss goes, I was lucky and lost it all within the first month after both of the girls. It's the months after that that are a challenge. That first month you're too tired to eat, let alone weigh yourself. Just watch out after that, and you'll be fine.
